Game Day ENdzone FAQs

Find quick answers about our video equipment, setup, support, and more.

How tall is the Game Day Endzone camera system?

The Game Day 25 ft. Endzone Camera extends to 25 ft. tall for optimal viewing. Anything taller will require a bulky 50+ lb. tower (GameDay’s is only 25 lbs.) and anything shorter will have inadequate views of plays across the field.

How long does setup take?

Game Day Endzone is designed to be fast and simple to setup, and our website states that the system can be set up in less than 5 minutes. That matters because your video setup should not become another game-day problem for your staff to manage.

What kind of support does Game Day Endzone provide?

We offer phone support Monday-Saturday and Friday nights. We offer online support via chat during those same times.  You can also go to our support page to Submit a Help Request, watch instructional videos, and read articles to help solve your issues. Our phone number is 888-608-2612 and our support email is info@gamedayendzone.com.

Can one person set it up?

Yes. One person can carry the 25 lb. tripod, while the remaining 10 lbs. of equipment fits in a backpack. That makes the system practical for home games, away games, and programs that do not have a large video staff.

Is the system portable enough for away games?

Yes. Portability is one of the main reasons we designed the system around a 25 lb. tripod and a backpack for the remaining equipment. Your staff can bring the system to away games without hauling a bulky, complicated tower setup.

Is the tripod stable?

Yes. Game Day Endzone uses a heavy-duty, stable tripod, with a wide 10-foot leg span, thick aluminum pipe, stainless-steel pivot bolts, locking pins, and additional safety pins for double protection. Stability is one of the most important factors when choosing an endzone camera, which is why we emphasize strong components and a wide base instead of a flimsy tower design that needs sandbags or weights.

Do we need sandbags or extra weights?

No. Game Day Endzone’s tripod and tower does not need sandbags or weights to operate the system. That saves time during setup and reduces the amount of extra gear your staff has to carry.

What kind of camera quality does Game Day Endzone provide?

Game Day Endzone is designed around using premium electronics and the camera is no different. Our system comes standard with 1080p60 full HD camera with 24x optical zoom. For coaches, that means the system is designed to capture clear video that helps your staff evaluate alignment, assignment, technique, and execution. The camera lens quality will also help enhance your Hudl Sideline's or other sideline replay video quality.

Can the operator see what they are recording?

Yes. Our system comes standard with a large HD viewing monitor so the operator can frame the shot the video your staff needs. That makes it easier for a student manager, assistant, or video operator to stay with the action.

Is the system easy for a student manager to operate?

Yes. Game Day Endzone is designed to be simple enough for non-technical operators, and it's easy enough for anyone to set up in less than 5 minutes. The operator can use the pan/tilt handle to move the camera left, right, up, and down, while also controlling zoom and record.

Does the camera use manual or electronic controls?

Game Day Endzone keeps operation simple by using a practical pan/tilt handle for camera movement, which decreases the likelihood of having pan/tilt issues. Electronic controls that use motors, joysticks, iPads, and other tech make endzone systems more expensive and complicated. Our position is that football programs need dependable video first, not a complicated system with more failure points.

Why does Game Day Endzone emphasize fewer failure points?

We believe the best endzone camera is the one your staff can count on every Friday night or Saturday afternoon. We emphasizes premium parts, reduced reliance on unnecessary electronics, fewer cables, fewer plastic parts, and a design focused on reliability.

Does the system record to an SD card?

Yes. Our system records to an 64GB SD card. That gives your staff a straightforward way to capture the game and move the footage into Hudl or other upload platform.

Does Game Day Endzone work with Hudl Sideline or other sideline replay providers?

Yes, you can connect our 25 ft. Endzone Camera, Press Box Tripod, and Dual Press Box Tripod to Hudl Sideline and all other sideline instant replay providers.

Does Game Day Endzone work with Hudl or other coaching video platforms?

Game Day Endzone records to an SD card, so your staff can transfer the video after the game and upload it into the coaching video platform you use like Hudl. If your program has a specific workflow, file requirement, or upload process, we recommend contacting us so we can help you confirm the best setup for your staff.

Are there yearly fees?

No. We believe football programs should be able to buy a dependable endzone camera system without getting locked into unnecessary annual costs.

How is Game Day Endzone different from other endzone camera systems?

Game Day Endzone is built around simplicity, stability, portability, and long-term value. We focus on a top-quality tripod, premium components, fewer failure points, easy operation, and fair pricing.

Can we use Game Day Endzone for practice?

Yes. Game Day Endzone offers a Practice Pole that lets teams use their endzone camera electronics during the week on a simpler platform. That helps your staff capture valuable practice film without setting up the full game-day tower.

Does the system include batteries?

Our system comes standard with 5-6 hr. capacity batteries for the camera and monitor to make sure you can set up before the game and last the entire game.

Can the system be used in bad weather?

Game Day Endzone is built with durable components and a stability-focused tripod design, but teams should always use good judgment in high wind, lightning, or severe weather. All products come with rain covers for your camera, monitor, zoom remote, and backpack.

What warranty or protection is available?

Our tripod and telescoping pole (25 ft. tower) have a long, 5-yr. warranty, other components have a standard 1-yr. warranty against defects, and teams can add 3-year protection for $499 more. That gives programs an option for added protection beyond the standard coverage.

What should we compare before buying an endzone camera?

Before choosing an endzone camera, compare setup time, stability, tower height, camera quality, portability, operator simplicity, battery setup, support, warranty, included accessories, and yearly fees. Those are the major decision points across the endzone camera industry. We believe we have a unique offer that hits all those important points better than the competition.

Why should our program choose Game Day Endzone?

Choose Game Day Endzone if your staff wants quality endzone video, fast setup, a stable 25-foot system, easy transport, SD card recording, no yearly fees, and fewer failure points. We built Game Day Endzone for coaches who need practical, dependable football video equipment that works on game day.
